Sometimes it's the small things that hold the most power. It seems like a breathe could cripple those wings, but I get the feeling that the butterfly will be just fine.
I like the composition of this painting because it is as imbalanced as it could be, yet balanced: the contrast of the brawn of a bear and the immovability of a rock against a transitory, fluttering, purple thing.
